Description

Empire of Ember is a very interesting strategy role-playing project, designed in the style of a fantasy game, where the view is presented from the 1st person. Here you have to feel like a real battle mage and do everything necessary to save your city and, of course, defeat the enemy. And, the game plot itself begins with the fact that the ruler of the capital is brutally killed by some cultists. Now the city is left without a ruler, and you are its sole heir! Protect your city, fight back the enemy army and crush it on the battlefield.

It should be understood that all events here will take place in two different modes at once, between which you can freely switch. So, for example, if you want to experience everything that happens personally, then turn on the first-person view mode, where you have to take part in an incredible battle, fight back against opponents, learn magical techniques and much more. While the second mode offers more global affairs. After all, it is a special tactical mode in which you have to rebuild the city, extract various resources, lead troops, and more.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.
Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.
After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.
Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.

Having trouble launching the game?

Check these common causes before troubleshooting further.

The steam_api64.dll and other files from the CODEX folder are the heart of the release — if your antivirus removes them, restore them from quarantine and exclude the game folder.
CODEX releases run fully offline. For safety, block the game .exe in your firewall so it never tries to reach Steam.
Errors about missing d3dx9_43.dll or MSVCP140.dll mean the runtimes were skipped — install everything from the disc's Redist or _CommonRedist folder.

Still not working? Find error-specific fixes and runtime guidance in the FAQ.
