Description
ilomilo plus INTERNAL is a puzzle that hugs you with the softness of plush heroes, and then makes you puzzle over cunning cubic labyrinths. Ilo and Milo are two inseparable friends who, for some reason, forever lose each other in a world assembled from floating platforms, magic rugs and blocks that change gravity. Your task is to guide them through these chaotic constructions, switching between characters, picking up cubes bridges and turning the space upside down.
At first, everything seems simple: he moved the block and built a track. But after a couple of levels, the game reveals its cunning nature. Then the hedgehog enemies block the way, then the mat makes you walk along the wall, or even you have to "reload" the character in a special block so that he emerges on the opposite side of the cube. Spatial thinking is your main tool here. Sometimes the solution lies in a perspective that will not come to mind until you turn the camera at a perfectly wrong angle.
But even when the puzzles lead to a slight despair, ilomilo does not let you forget that she is about comfort. Background music is reminiscent of the sounds of a toy orchestra, and each item collected (whether it's an old camera or a vinyl record) adds pieces of touching history to the gallery. Even a local "Sage" Sebastian, appearing with advice, looks more like a weirdo from a fairy tale than a strict mentor.
You can play alone or together on the same screen, although the cooperative here is rather an alternate passage of the same levels. But there is something to come back for: collectible Safkas open bonus puzzles, and a retro-style mini-game adds a nostalgic charm.
