Description
Permafrost is a harsh survival simulator in an open world where the global split of the Moon has plunged humanity into an endless icy winter. Storyline and setting: A catastrophic drop in temperature below freezing has destroyed familiar state institutions, leaving survivors face to face with a ruthless element. The deep lore of the universe is revealed through the exploration of snow-covered plains, multi-storey ruins and deep caves. The constant threat of hypothermia forces participants to carefully plan their outings and constantly seek safe havens.
Gameplay and mechanics: The gameplay is based on the construction of modular shelters made of improvised materials, the reconstruction of semi-abandoned buildings and greenhouse farming. The player can complete the challenges alone or team up in a cooperative mode with a squad of up to four people, competently distributing household tasks. Overcoming long distances on abandoned equipment facilitates the delivery of valuable scrap, which is further processed into reliable tools.
Technique and Survival: The atmospheric visual style and thoughtful audio design convey the oppressive atmosphere of the post-apocalypse. A faithful ally in raids is a tamed dog, warning with barking about the approach of hostile groups and carrying part of the collected equipment. The survival script system requires strict control of resources, saving rare cartridges for critical skirmishes, and protecting the camp from packs of predators.
