Saint Slayer Spear of Sacrilege drags you into a twisted cathedral city where the holy have become unholy, and your only salvation is a spear that once pierced divinity. Developed and published by Lillymo Games for release in 2026, this action horror game casts you as an excommunicated knight returning to a faith that has rotted from within. The saints you once prayed to now stalk the shadows, their halos cracked and their miracles turned to curses. You carry the Spear of Sacrilege, a weapon that grows stronger with every holy enemy you slay, but each kill stains your soul and blurs the line between hunter and monster.
The latest version of the game introduces a corruption meter that transforms your abilities as you embrace darker powers, offering a risk reward system between staying pure or becoming a greater evil. Action combat is fast and brutal, with light and heavy spear thrusts, dodges, and parries that open enemies for devastating ripostes. Horror is atmospheric and psychological, with whispering statues, shifting corridors, and enemies that beg for mercy before attacking. The gothic visuals are rendered in a stark, high contrast palette of crimson, gold, and shadow.
